Meet the Teacher

About Me: My teaching experience spans over 10 years with a variety of learners from kindergarten to high school in the Japanese school system and IB Primary Years Programme. This is my second year at Deutsche Schule Kobe International. I believe that the social skills learned in the classroom are as important as academic skills. I strive to create a safe, caring community in my classroom that fosters a life-long love of learning.
I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching through the University of Southern California and my teaching credential requirements for the state of California in 2017.

Fast Facts:

• I have lived in Kobe longer than any other city in my life.
• I have only visited 9 countries but am planning more.
• I was an Air Force Brat so grew up moving often.
• I have a kitten found a month old at a ramen shop.
• I have climbed Mt. Fuji - twice!
• In a past life, I was a paralegal.
